At The Pigeon Wing

You may know that my art work titled; Ultra Ulcer loser has been part of the Art/ Value/ Currency collection that travelled to New York earlier this year. Well, its now time for  the final exhibition of the collection.

Art/ Value/ Currency explores the intertwining roles of trade, value systems and networking within the art world, highlighting the importance of creating exposure for artists and their working practice.

Part Three sees 31 new pieces of work from New York based artists, along with documentation of all the interviews and exchange process that took place over the last 8 months in New York.

It has been pretty hectic recently but i’m back with a couple of things to tell you. First off, some of you may remember that as part of 27 emerging artists to have created 31 artworks measuring 4”x6” for the Art/Value/Currency Project. My pen and ink piece, Ultra/Ulcer/Loser was exhibited at the Pigeon Wing Gallery, Bermondsey, south east London. The artwork was then taken to New York to be showcased, where each piece will be swapped with works by American artists.

I’m pleased to be able to announce that the show in Brooklyn, New York is opening on the 31st July 2010 at Eastern District. This event will also be the only point where all 62 pieces of work will be seen together, before the exchange takes place. So if your in NY make sure you head over from 5pm!

More news in the next few days on somewhere closer to home where you can see my work.

Many of you will have started the new year with resolutions to get fit.  Well, a smart pair of trainers like these might be just the motivation you need to start pounding pavements.  I wonder if the athlete that bought these will keep his resolutions.
